I chose a gaming magazine to go with the basketball pictures. Then choose paper that will go with colors and scheme.  I chose paper in my supply box, with stars on the edges. I placed both pages down then placed pictures and clippings from magazine around to see what looked best to me. In looking at the pages, I could see the pictures needed a background paper to bring out the pictures. I glued them in place and trimmed the edges of the background paper. I choose a red paper due to school colors.  I placed three tiles in each corner for a breakup of color. In keeping with a magazine theme, I wrote an article about a basketball game.

Using 2, 12x12 pages with Stars on the edges. I attached 3 tiles to each corner using clear adhesive dots (small) Zots. Using a glue stick & using cutouts from Electronic Gaming Magazine (Basketball theme) I glued a game rating on the bottom, left corner of page one. I glued a cutout of Shaq hanging off of a basketball hoop, right side of page one. I glued a picture of kid's basketball game, right, top side of page one. I glued an article written about a basketball game, left side of page one. I glued 4 small pictures of computer games. One picture on top left corner of page two. One picture on bottom left corner of page two. Two pictures in middle of page two. I glued 4 pictures of kid's basketball game. Two game pictures are on left, center of page two. One game picture top, right of page two. One game picture bottom, right of page two.

Supplies Needed:

  • 12x12 sheet of blue speckle paper
  • 6x12 sheet of nautral cream mini stripes paper
  • Title "Here Comes Trouble"
  • 2 journal boxes size approx. 3x4
  • Stiches Rub-ons
  • Mounting paper to match pictures

I assembled the top first, adhere the 6x12 sheet of paper to the background paper.  Attach larger picture to that matt...the photo will be double matted.  Use the stich rub-ons to create the look that the picture is being held on there with stiching.  Adhere the two journal boxes to the bottom left of the paper, leaving approx. 1 inch from the left side.  Adhere the smaller picture on the bottom right leaving approx 1 inch from the bottom, but lined up with the right hand side of the paper.  Finally, attach the title in the middle.  I also added small stars which I drew with a small tip black marker, just to add a little more to the page.

Supplies Needed:

  • 1 sheet 12x12 solid card stock (Hunter Green)
  • 1 sheet 12x12 patterned stock (Thin Line Plaid grasshopper)
  • Tiles (Magic Scraps-Jungle Green)
  • 8 inch piece of fiber (green yarn with tinsel wrap)
  • Adhesive
  • Cutting tools
Cut both sheets of cardstock to 7x7. Keep scraps you will use them to make the other page and embellishments. Take plaid 7x7 sheet and tear across leaving a torn edge. Lay with torn edge down to show solid green on bottom. Add picture in top left corner. Layout called for pictures at the bottom but instead I used tiles to make my layout pop. Taking 9 tiles per square ratio 4:4:1 (I used Creative Memories Photo Splits to adhesive the tiles.) Then to set off the page I added a piece of fiber at the bottom. Using scraps make a 7x7 sheet. Tear edge of plaid cardstock the same as above but this time vertically place the torn edge. Place picture in middle and over lap with tag and journaling block. I added a tile to my tag instead of fiber just to keep with the tile theme.
